The second games of the opening round have played out with some exciting action taking place.

Group A:

    This group remains wide open heading to week 3. Krad and Lezards both held firm for a 1-1 draw and Koby came back from a disappointing first game to get a 2-2 result. That said, Koby probably wont be too happy after squandering a 2-0 lead.  Hapuna's midfield dominated the last 40 minutes of the game, creating the last 3 chances, and scoring 2 of them to salvage a point. With only 3 points seperating 1st and 4th place, it is truley anyone's chance to advance from the group.

Group B:

The Titanic clash of Tenpool and DVB has ended with The Bushwackers coming out on top. The first half featured 7 total chances, plenty for Tenpool to take advantage of, but only DVB found the back of the net. DVB's strategy to counterattack payed off, and their defense completely shutdown Tenpool in the 2nd half  to take the matchup 1-0. Dolphe Athletic cruised to a 2-0 win, on the back of a Tony Johns Brace.

Group C:

Group C has seen Penguins and Goombie secure their places in the knocout stages with two more victories. Penguins handled Hamsters with 2 late goals.  Goombie, despite once again putting up a much stronger team, again struggled to dominate.  Despite some minor struggles, Goombie will be feared in the next round.

Group D:

FC Gryffindor got on the board with a 4-0 victory over Sinaloa, and Ocala handled The Beasts with Ease, 4-1.  Ocala gambled with their defensive plan and it turned out to be a genius move, aiding in the most lopsided victory between two top teams in the Cup so far.  Ocala's GD has all but assured a place in the next round, but Beasts and Gryffindor have all to play for. 

Match of the Week: Hapuna-Koby 2-2, Solid comeback to take a point by Hapuna
