The final games of the group stages have played out to set the table for the knockout round of the surviving 8 clubs.
Group A:
Hapuna defeated Lezards 4-2 in an exciting spectacle. Hapuna got off to a 2-0 lead, before Requin pulled two back to get even, but couldnt hold out, falling to two second half goals. Krad dominated Koby 3-1, and with the 2 goal win, complimented by Lezards 2 goal loss, Krad escapes the group of death in 2nd place on Goal differential, Hapuna winning the group with a very impressive 7 points.
Group B:
Things played out as expected in B, Tenpool walloped Lonely Island 8-0 and DVB found 3 second half goals to defeat an impressive effort from Dolphe Athletic. Death Valley wins the group, with Tenpool advancing in 2nd place.
Group C:
Goombie rocked an understrength Penguins team and Hamsters earned their first point of the tournament with a solid 1-1 draw against Dolphins.
Group D:
Beasts too care of business against Sinaloa, putting the pressure on Gryffindor to get a victory against long time rival Ocala. Gryffindor carried a goal lead for most of the game, and their tough defense looked primed to hold out and get the crucial points. Ocala's Raymond Hillman had other plans, equalizing with just minutes to play, ending Gryffindor's tournament with one shot.
