Elite 8 finished, Final 4 Set

Our Final 8 teams have battled it out, and the 4 survivors have emerged ready for the semifinals next week.
Krad has brushed off a challenge from Gryffindor to their dominant Cup run so far with a 3-0 convincing victory. Three first half goals from a dominant attack, saw even Gryffindor’s stout defense unable to hold out, and this one was basically over at the break. Krad continues to look a strong favorite to be our next first time Cup Winner.
Tenpool thrashed FC Plamp 6-1 in an eye opening performance. A dominant midfield and defense and a solid attack see them too much to handle, and Tenpool’s hopes of back to back titles is still very much alive. Note-Brad Proctor of Tenpool with his 2 goals takes over the Dew Cup scoring race.
Dribblers has ended another former Champion’s run at a second title, with a 2-1 win over Ocala. Dribblers Possession and defense held Ocala at bay like no other team has done in the Cup before. Dribblers found two first half goals including one from Miao Xiaojian(2nd in our Cup in the scoring race), and Ocala was held to a single chance on goal all game. Dribblers could be the first ever rookie Dew Cup winner.
The match of the round was played out between Beasts and Hapuna, themselves former finalists. Hapuna came out firing with Viktor Danielson setting up one and scoring the 2nd and we were 2-0 early into this one. Beasts had their chances, and eventually found the back of the net themselves with back to back goals on the wings just before halftime to even the score headed to the second stanza. In the 50th minute Doug Dale came charging thru the middle and found the next goal to give Hapuna the lead again 3-2. The Beasts did not blink, however, and Valentino equaled the score for Beasts again, the result of another great wing attack . Just two minutes passed when Matthias Hemner, spectacularly chipped Beasts keeper Dorin, Hapuna seizing the lead again 4-3 with 30 minutes still to play. Beasts manager saw fit to make an attacking change(defender for another striker) and the pressure was ramped up. With two great chances to score, one from star Homero on a free kick just missed, and when it looked like they were destined to score, Hapuna found the 5th goal to close this one out 5-3.
Final Four:
Hapuna-Krad
Tenpool-Dribblers
Quick thought on the semifinalists:
Hapuna makes the semifinals for the 3rd time in 3 Dew Cups a very impressive feat, and their attack is as good as ever, but Krad seems too good right now in all facets and made be the favorite headed to the Final Four. Prediction: Krad 4-2
Tenpool and Dribblers should be an interesting matchup. Dribblers defense and ability to dominate the midfield has been very impressive in their first Dew Cup run. Tenpool, our defending champ’s, have always shown balance and adaptability and are tough to game plan for. This one can go either way, but until the champs are knocked out, they are my pick: 2-1 Tenpool
